Michael Cahn

Partner, member of the Paris Bar

Michael Cahn has practised for more than 25 years across the whole of civil law, commercial law and business criminal law, in an advisory capacity as well as in litigation. Depending on the matter, his work consists in preventing, in defending, in building or in restoring.

The core of his practice remains litigation arising from the out-of-court and court-supervised procedures for the treatment of companies in difficulty. He has built up there a solid experience of questions of liability, that of the director as much as that of the shareholder, which are often what is truly at stake behind the proceedings.

His practice has grown stronger through a great many turnarounds of companies in difficulty, a good number of them in situations reputed to be highly complex. He has built lasting relationships of trust around the matters he handles, and he relies upon an established network of correspondents who share the same concern for effectiveness.

He began in 2000 with Granrut Vatier Baudelot, then joined in 2002 the firm Pardo Boulanger & Associés, with which he set up in 2007 the firm Cahn & PBA. He ran it alone at first, before taking full control of it from 2009 under the name Cahn Avocats.

Drawing on varied experience, on the relationships built with a great many partners and on the support of a complementary team, he continues to develop that law firm, established since 2018 at place d’Iéna under the name Cahn Wilson.
